Example: Warm up for FCE speaking test

A marketing assistant, who was enrolled in an FCE exam preparation course, was referred to Janice for extra speaking practice. She didn't have anyone she could warm up with before the exam, so Janice prepared an envelope with practice materials to use before the test. The morning of the test, the marketing assistant opened the materials, phoned Janice from the car park, and together they went through the practice test. The warm-up session helped her feel more confident and she passed her FCE speaking test.
